We're Home: Welcome to the New Camp Ruff It

A New Chapter Begins at 295 Carlton Drive

For months, you've heard us say, "We're almost there."

After countless hours of planning, designing, permitting, construction, and more than a few unexpected delays, we're beyond excited to officially welcome our Camp Ruff It family to our new home at 295 Carlton Drive in Carol Stream!

It's the beginning of an exciting new chapter as Camp Ruff It enters its 16th year of serving dogs and the people who love them.

Built With Purpose

When Ryan and I purchased Camp Ruff It in 2022, we knew we weren't just taking over a business. We were becoming stewards of something incredibly special.

For more than 15 years, Camp Ruff It has earned the trust of thousands of families, and we knew that any future home needed to honor that legacy while giving us the opportunity to create an even better experience for every dog who walks through our doors.

Every decision we made during this project came back to one simple question:

"Will this make life better for the dogs?"

If the answer wasn't yes, we didn't do it.

More Than Just More Space

While our new facility gives us more room, what excites us most is how we're using it.

Our new home features:

  • Four spacious indoor play areas

  • Three cozy overnight bedrooms where dogs continue to enjoy our signature cage-free slumber parties with overnight caregivers

  • Four dedicated senior care suites designed for older dogs who appreciate a quieter environment

  • A dedicated Scent Space designed to encourage natural sniffing, exploration, and mental enrichment

  • Additional enrichment areas that allow us to continue creating purposeful activities for every dog

Just like our previous location, we're still proud to be a completely all indoor facility, providing a safe, climate controlled environment where dogs can play comfortably year round, regardless of the weather.

Everything Is Intentional

If you've been around Camp Ruff It for any length of time, you've probably heard us say that everything is intentional.

That philosophy guided every decision we made while designing this building.

Our playgroups remain carefully matched.

Rest continues to be just as important as play.

Enrichment isn't something we do occasionally. It's part of every day.

Our overnight guests still enjoy sleeping alongside our caregivers instead of spending the night in kennels.

Every room, every layout decision, every enrichment opportunity, and every detail was designed with your dog's physical and emotional well being in mind.

Thank You for Growing With Us

If you've been following this project, you know it took a little longer than we all expected.

Construction has a funny way of reminding us that some things simply can't be rushed.

Throughout every delay, your encouragement, patience, and excitement reminded us why we love this community so much.

Whether you've been with Camp Ruff It for fifteen years or fifteen days, thank you for believing in us.

You made it possible for us to dream bigger.

Looking Ahead

Moving into this new facility feels like the perfect way to begin Year 16 of Camp Ruff It. We aren't just opening the doors to a new building. We're creating more opportunities for dogs to play, learn, rest, explore, and thrive in an environment that was designed specifically for them.

As we celebrate this milestone, we're also looking forward to our Grand Reopening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, July 31. We can't wait to celebrate this exciting new chapter with all of you.

Here's to the Next Chapter

A new building doesn't change who we are.

It simply gives us more opportunities to continue doing what we've always loved.

Providing a safe, enriching, cage free environment where dogs can be dogs and families can have complete peace of mind.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for trusting us with your best friends over the past 15 years.

Here's to Year 16, to new memories, wagging tails, and the next chapter of Camp Ruff It.

We can't wait to welcome you home.
